EI Trainer

EI Trainer is a prototype for a mobile game intended to help people improve their Emotional Intelligence (EI)

Emotional Intelligence (EI) has been widely shown to have a positive relationship with quality of life and general mental health. Despite this, there is a lack of accessible resources for improving EI, as well as a gap in the market for mobile applications which utilise technology to deliver existing EI training. Although people from financially disadvantaged backgrounds often have more need for these resources, they cannot due to financial and time limitations. EI Trainer aims to be mobile app which allows users, regardless of financial background or prior knowledge of the subject, to improve their EI in a simple, understandable, non-time-consuming way. For this project, a prototype, built for Android, was made to act as a foundation for future development and showcase for the concept of the app.
